Kilimanjaro Itineraries
There are several routes available for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, each with its own unique characteristics and difficulty level. Here is an overview of some of the most popular routes:
Marangu Route: The Marangu route, also known as the “Coca-Cola” route, is one of the most popular routes up Mount Kilimanjaro. It is considered the easiest route and is often chosen by those with less climbing experience. The route is relatively short at 5-6 days and has huts with bunk beds for accommodation.
Machame Route: The Machame route, also known as the “Whiskey” route, is a more challenging route up Mount Kilimanjaro. It is longer than the Marangu route, typically taking 6-7 days, but offers stunning views of the mountain. Climbers sleep in tents and the route is known for its steep ascents and descents.
Lemosho Route: The Lemosho route is a longer, more remote route that offers spectacular scenery and views of the mountain. It is considered a more gradual route, allowing for better acclimatization, and is less crowded than some of the other routes. The route typically takes 7-9 days and climbers sleep in tents.
Rongai Route: The Rongai route is one of the easiest routes up Mount Kilimanjaro and is often chosen by those with less climbing experience. The route is typically 6-7 days long and starts on the north side of the mountain. Climbers sleep in tents and the route is known for its scenic views of the mountain and the surrounding countryside.
Northern Circuit Route: The Northern Circuit route is the newest and longest route up Mount Kilimanjaro. It is considered a more gradual route, allowing for better acclimatization, and offers stunning views of the mountain. The route typically takes 9-11 days and climbers sleep in tents.

Each specialized group has the option of keeping the group closed or allowing others to join. We will never add people to a specialized climb without consent of the group.
